LONDON, June 27 The British publisher of the wildly successful Harry Potter series let the wizard out of the bag today by revealing the title of the latest book.
The fourth installment of the boy wizard's adventures, created by Edinburgh-based writer Joanne Rowling, goes on sale July 8 in bookshops across Britain and North America and has already conjured up feverish demand.
But the title was a closely guarded secret--until Bloomsbury Publishing waved its publicity wand.
"Bloomsbury Publishing is delighted to announce, after months of
that the title of the fourth Harry Potter is 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of
Fire,' " the publisher said in a statement.
Shares in Bloomsbury hit a record high of 850 pence last Thursday in a
bewitched by the prospects of dazzling sales for the fourth Harry Potter tome.
